The world has witnessed the outpouring of grief by a thankful nation to a great modern day heroine. A modest yet determined and resolute force to reckon with, gallant and humble all the same.

Thank you so much President Cory, Dahil sayo nakamit ang Demokrasya sa Pilipinas, Hindi ko malilimutan nag nagawa mo kahit kailan. Maraming salamat.

Our condolences to the family. Politics-wise, I am non-partisan but I am one with Ms Cory Aquino in faith. Her strength as a wife, a mother, a woman, a sister, a friend, a Filipino is admirable. I am not even sure if I can do the same. Both in her lifetime and death, she had shown us how one can tackle adversaries in simple ways. Once in 1986, which I can barely remember, she showed us that we can do things imaginable. Now in her death, she had shown it to us again. And once we falter/fail by forgetting what her EDSA struggles bring. I hope that, today, as we call her name and tell her story, may we remember her legacy, "What can I do for my country." I hope we all know that being a true Filipino does not mean being able to go to the streets and cry "Makibaka" or scream "Oust ...". Being Filipino is not about lambasting the government when you yourself is part of the government, we all are. It is not just about complaining. It is about doing something for our country. In simple ways like obeying traffic rules, throwing garbage in the garbage can, paying the correct amount of fees when we file Residence Certificate, by not loudly singing the karaoke when we know that almost everyone in your community are sleeping, parking your car in the parking lot not in the sidewalk, acquiring the proper terminals for tricycles and FX taxis, taking a franchise, etc. These are simple ways that kills our country. Let us all contribute to the Philippines we want to be. We should not say CORY in vain. We should say it with conviction and the will to do your share as a Filipino. And don't be afraid to do your share, remember, Ms Aquino did not. To Ms Cory Aquino's family, thank you for not once you hindered both Ninoy and Cory's desire to serve the country.

Our heartfelt sympathy to the Aquino family. May the spirit of Cory help them through this painful time. President Aquino makes me proud to be a Filipino woman. She epitomizes the quiet strength, sincerity and integrity that we wish all our leaders would have. She is truly an icon of democracy won by harnessing the power of people to protest against injustice and inequality. Finally she is reunited in heaven with her husband Ninoy.

MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCE TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. MY MOTHER RECEIVED THE SAME DIAGNOSIS DAYS BEFORE WE HEARD ABOUT YOUR MOTHER. SHE PASSED AWAY 9-27-08, SHE WAS 74 YEARS OLD. SHE FOUGHT HARD AND ENDURED SURGERIES AND CHEMOTHERAPY BUT AT THE END, SHE STOPPED EATING. SOMEWHERE IN A WEBSITE I READ THAT ABOUT YOUR MOTHER..I CAN TRULY RELATE. I BELIEVE THAT MY MOM IS HERE WITH US EVERYDAY...BELIEVE IN DRAGONFLIES!! IN LOVING MEMORY OF WILHELMINA B. LABASAN. HUGS AND PRAYERS TO YOUR FAMILY.
