"Life is short and not perfect, but the actions of one human being who has strengthen a single nation, will forever be a lasting contribution and sacrifice." Firstly I would like to extend my deepest condolences on behalf of my family to the Aquino family and the people of the Philippines. We are one in prayer for Tita Cory and with Tita Cory for our people and for ourselves. At the age of 18 years, my only knowledge about Tita Cory are of her role as a loving mother. Knowledge that came from stories in which Ms. Kris Aquino shared during her programs. These were stories of a caring mother with great concern for a wonderful daughter. I admire every story that was told by Ms. Kris. Sadly, only now, after President Cory's passing, that I was given the privilege to learn and witness her role as President of the Philippines and as the guiding leader for the Filipino people to finally obtain democracy. She was not just a leader, but became a part of the people, and acted as their core strength motivation to fight for their right that they truely deserve. As I follow more stories being shared by honorable leaders, close friends, family members, and simple human beings like me who look up to the great President, I realize how grateful I am to be given "puzzle pieces of her life", even if they are only in the form of storie. These stories about her life as a President, as an activist, a friend, and as a mother, will now live one and be a part of many people's own memories and also my own. Thank You Tita Cory! Learning about the life she lived and the sacrifices she has made has inspired me greatly. We Filipinos lost a great leader and an inspirational human being. Her faith in God, has strengthen mine. Her love and pride for her people has formed mine. Her journey, sacrifices, and accomplishments has help me to realize my own. her dedication to democracy has helped me to value my own. In the coming election for my own country, I will value my own voice, and my own vote. Once again Thank You President Cory. We will forever be one with you in prayer.

Cory came into our lives shining brightest amidst the darkeness that shrouded our land. She leaves us, still shining brightest, amid the current darkness where we are ruled by people who are her exact opposites. [She never lied, cheated, stole or killed.] We will cling on to her brightness that may liberate us once more. Where she has gone, she won't need it because it's aplenty there. Thank you, Cory, for your enduring legacy. Extend our love to our other hero, your husband Ninoy. Enjoy the eternal bliss with him.

I have never met Tita Cory personally but I have always said and I have always felt that love for her. I dont know why but she was one person I can say I truly cared for not having known her in a personal way. I may not have always shared the same political opinion with her but these differences did not take away the love and respect I felt for her. Maybe because I have always felt her sincerity and her true love for others and for me as a Filipino and as a person. She was the only President whose speeches I listened to in its entirety maybe because I knew that what she was saying is the truth and comes from her heart. Even in death, she brings out the best in me. She encourages me to be good, to love others, to care for my country and to pray, strengthening my faith in God thru prayer. She was truly a witness of God's love and goodness. Thank you, Mrs. President. Thank you, Tita Cory!
