BENIGNO S. AQUINO, JR. FOUNDATION
 

BSAF was established to perpetuate the memory, ideals and values of the late Senator Benigno S. Aquino, Jr.. The Foundation is led by former President Corazon C. Aquino,   widow of the late Senator and a well-respected, globally-recognized and inspiring leader.

It is a legally-registered Philippine nonprofit organization with the Securities and Exchange Commission and is also PCNC certified.

BSAF’s programs reflect the values upheld by the Aquino family stemming from their convictions and life experiences.  It supports activities that embody the spirit of people power as a strong positive force for societal change and reform.

Through its activities, BSAF has worked frequently with the youth, educational institutions, media, cooperatives, civil society, and the business sector both locally and internationally. It has also worked with government agencies.

From P800k in inception, the funds to support programs and operations have grown to over P50million. A core of donors – NGO, Corporate, Individual – regularly give support to the activities.

BSAF is an organization that responds to the signs and needs of the times.

Mission

The Benigno S. Aquino Jr. Foundation sees itself as a center for helping bring the essence of People Power to fruition through Filipinos willing to transform their lives along the path of dignity, freedom, justice, self-sacrifice and, ultimately, community—actualizing God’s vision of humanity.

Objectives
  1. To perpetuate the memory of SBSA, Jr in recognition of his patriotic and dedicated service, sacrifices and achievements in pursuit of truth, justice, freedom, reconciliation and national unity
  2. To maintain the Aquino Center which houses an exhibit of memorabilia, personal collections, manuscripts, books, documents and other objects of historical, cultural and educational value and also serves as a venue for seminars and conferences.
  3. To research, document, publish and disseminate books, monographs, journals, films and similar projects written by and/or about the late senator and the ideals and vision that he pursued that will campaign steadily for national unity and promote truth, justice, freedom, peace, and prosperity in our country
  4. To sponsor, fund and conduct on its own initiative or in cooperation or affiliation with other organizations and/or individuals public discussions, seminars, fora, conferences, historical, cultural and educational exhibitions, lectures, and presentations on the ideals, thoughts, principles espoused, promoted and pursued by SBSA, Jr.
  5. To sponsor, fund, secure and make available such materials, facilities, resources and networks as may be necessary for the increase in knowledge and capacities or for the welfare and advancement of the Filipino people with special emphasis on issues involving peace, social and economic justice, and human and democratic rights.
